| The Gillis Brothers This group was one of the more exciting acts to enter the bluegrass arena in recent years. The band represented on these recordings was comprised of brothers Larry (banjo and guitar) and John Gillis (guitar), Owen Saunders (fiddle) and Andy Dye (acoustic bass.) Their powerful style of picking, lead singing and harmonizing is a throwback to the 40s/50s era. During the six years they were active on the festival/concert circuit, they developed what could be described as a "cult following." |
